Stoke City defender Geoff Cameron is looking forward to a summer of proper rest.
USA international Cameron was an integral part in helping the Potters achieve their fine top-half finish but his campaign had been troubled by a host of niggling injuries.
With the season concluding, Cameron has revealed that he now plans to take a good long rest in order to allow his body to sufficiently recover ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Cameron told the Stoke Sentinel: "Now my plan for the summer is just to rest.
"The doctor's advice is just to shut my body down because of the nagging injuries I've had; the sports hernia. We don't want that to be aggravated so the key is rest."
