But he is vowing to go through the pain barrier once more to make sure he pulls on a Stoke City shirt again next season.
Speaking for the first time since his latest injury heartache in mid-February, the popular striker, confessed told The Sentinel: "I cried this time because I didn't understand it and was so frustrated.
"I was feeling very angry because I had been through all the rehabilitation from the last injury and only played one reserve game."
