Stoke City are weighing up a surprise raid on Newcastle United for Jonas Gutierrez.
The Daily Mail says the Potters are interested in Newcastle midfielder Jonas.
Stoke boss Tony Pulis is in the market for another winger and Jonas, who has been linked with a return to Spain this summer, fits the bill.
Pulis has the backing of Stoke chairman Peter Coates in the transfer market and has the spending power to convince Toon owner Mike Ashley to sell.
