Hannover striker Mame Biram Diouf is expected to soon complete his move to Stoke City.
The deal has hit a minor snag at the 11th-hour following lengthy meetings between Diouf, manager Mark Hughes and chief executive Tony Scholes.
But The Sentinel says that will only delay, not prevent, his unveiling as a Stoke City player some time next month.
An agreement has been reached on a four-year contract and there are not believed to be any problems with his routine medical.
