Stoke City are close to completing the signing of defender Bruno Martins Indi from Porto in a cut-price deal, according to Sky Sports.

The Potters had the option to sign him for a fee rising to £13.4m as part of last season's loan deal but pulled out of the because they were not prepared to meet Porto's demands.

However, Stoke have since returned with new offer of around £7.52m.

The player is due back at Stoke to complete the deal over the next few days.
