Stoke City striker Peter Odemwingie is joining Olympique Marseille.

The Daily Mail says Odemwingie has taken a flight to Marseille ahead of his medical.

The 34-year-old has linked up with agent Mark McKay of ExcelFoot who has a strong relationship with the French side after organising the deal that took Dimitri Payet to West Ham.

Odemwingie has six months left on contract with an option of another year but Stoke are happy to streamline their squad. He started against Crystal Palace in the FA Cup defeat on Saturday but has made just seven appearances overall this season.
