Stoke City's Pulis: Tomorrow's Dynamo Kiev clash will be proud moment for us

Stoke City manager Tony Pulis feels tomorrow night's Europa League match will be a proud moment for the club.

The Potters need a draw to progress to the knockout stages when Ukrainian club Dynamo Kiev come to the Britannia Stadium in Group E and Pulis is hoping for a celebratory atmosphere and a good result in what he describes as a tough group.

"Our group looked like it would be extremely difficult when you looked at the three other sides and the amount of European experience they have," said Pulis.

"Dynamo Kiev and Besiktas have been competing in Europe for many years, while even Maccabi Tel Aviv have been in Europe for a long time.

"Yet here we are in a position where if we can get a point we will qualify for the next round. That's brilliant. It's been a long journey to get this far and we've all enjoyed it.

"We're 10 games unbeaten in Europe and we hadn't even scored a goal in Europe before this season. It's been a great, great run for us.

"Dynamo Kiev is a massive, massive game for us. We're hoping for a full house to push us on tomorrow.

"We're not thinking about winning the group and our first priority is to qualify. If we also win the group, then brilliant. But our first aim is to qualify."
