Stoke City boss Pulis urges calm from fans over slow market

Stoke City boss Tony Pulis has urged fans to stay calm after they missed out on new Marseille signing Stephane Mbia.

Pulis said: "There could even be players coming in tomorrow, who knows? The transfer market is very difficult to call.

"Sometimes you get things you are surprised with. Other times, you have to be patient and wait.

"We are not at the top of the food chain and never have been.

"We have to wait for things to drop off the tree. We are not going to even shake the tree and pick up the apples that drop off. We have to be patient."
