Stoke City boss Hughes wants to deal in Crouch

Stoke City boss Mark Hughes says he intends to deal in Peter Crouch.

Hughes has revealed Stoke will reward veteran striker Crouch for his recent goalscoring exploits with a new deal at the bet365 Stadium.

The 35-year-old's second goal in as many games sealed the Potters' victory over Watford on Tuesday, and Hughes confirmed plans were in place to tie him down.

"That's my view anyway," he told Sky Sports. “I'm sure we'll get something done.

“He's playing as well as he ever has done, arguably as well as three or four years ago. His attributes aren't going to change anytime soon."
