English Premier League club Stoke City have announced a three-match pre-season tour of the USA.

The Potters will play against Columbus Crew on July 24, the Adrian Heath-led (former Stoke player) Orlando City on July 28 and Sporting Kansas City on August 1.

"This is an exciting opportunity for the club, not only in terms of the quality of the pre-season test it will provide for the squad, but also in raising our profile even higher on a global scale," chief executive Tony Scholes told stokecityfc.com.

"It will give the squad the chance to work in excellent surroundings and we know that the opposition will provide a stern test.

"It was only natural that any trip to the States should feature a game against Orlando because of our strong affiliation with the club and this will undoubtedly enhance what is a close association with them."
