Stoke City chief Tony Scholes says they'll learn from this season's struggles.
The Potters currently sit in the Premier League relegation zone with 10 games remaining, having sacked a manager mid-term due to results for the first time in two decades.
Scholes said: “Will lessons be learned? The absolutely honest answer to that question is yes. There are many of us at the club who have been in football for some time and have got a lot of experience, including the owners, who have a huge experience and knowledge of the game.
“But you have to keep learning and you are learning all the time.
“None of us gets everything right first time but the important thing is that you do recognise your mistakes and things that have happened and every year you try to improve on that.
“That's no different from every other season. Every year we go forward trying to improve in every aspect from the previous year."
