Stoke City are still to hear from Celtic for winger Liam Lawrence.
Potters chief Tony Scholes is waiting to see whether Celtic or a rival suitor will make a move, but has echoed Tony Pulis's view that City would be happy for Lawrence to remain at the club.
He told The Sentinel: "The situation with Liam is very simple. We haven't had any formal approach for him. I know Celtic in particular have been widely rumoured to be interested in him, but until such time that they put an offer in I can't say much about it.
"The only work there has been has been through agents; there has been no direct contact between the clubs."
