Stoke City are chasing Sporting Lisbon midfielder Diego Capel.
The Sentinel says Portuguese sources insist Stoke remain excited by the prospect of a Premier League move for the 26 year-old winger.
They insist Stoke have already tried and failed with a £3m bid for the one-time Sevilla favourite - and are now considering a second offer nearer to Lisbon's apparent £5m evaluation.
