Stoke City boss Mark Hughes is chasing Manchester City striker John Guidetti.
The Daily Star Sunday says Hughes wants to strengthen his attack and is planning a £5.5million swoop for the Sweden international striker.
Guidetti, 21, was assured he had a future at the Etihad Stadium after coming back from a goal-laden season-long loan at Feyenoord during the 2011-12 season.
But the Stockholm-born forward has become disillusioned after failing to play a single league game for City's first team, which has alerted Hughes to the possibility of deal being done.
