Stoke City boss Tony Pulis is chasing Manchester City striker Benjani Mwaruwari.

The Mirror says Pulis sent his top spy to watch the Zimbabwe ace in his comeback for the reserves last week - and he fits the bill as a Potters signing because of his strength and attitude.

Benjani joined City from Portsmouth for £6million in February, but injuries have dogged his time at Eastlands and insiders claim he will be sold to make way for bigger names.
