Stoke City boss Mark Hughes is chasing Arsenal striker Joel Campbell.
Campbell helped Olympiacos win the Greek title last season while on-loan in Athens.
The Sentinel says the word from North London is that Arsene Wenger would prefer to see Campbell learning his trade with more regular game time out on loan elsewhere in the top flight.
Stoke could be a destination for the Costa Rica international.
