Stoke City are challenging Fiorentina for PSG striker Jese.

Italian sources say Stoke have nipped in to scupper Fiorentina's pursuit of Jese.

It was claimed yesterday that Fiorentina had agreed a two-year loan deal with option to buy for the former Real Madrid starlet, now aged 24.

Jese only moved to France last year in a £22m deal but he struggled to take off immediately and went back to Spain on loan to Las Palmas for the second half of the season.

And it's now being reported Stoke are in talks with the former Real Madrid striker about a move to England.
