Stoke chairman denies interest in Noble and Davies

West Ham midfielder Mark Noble and Aston Villa defender Curtis Davies have been linked to Stoke City, much to the confusion of Chairman Peter Coates. The Potters have not made a £4m enquiry for Noble or expressed interest in out of favour Villa defender Davies.

However, Coates has played down reports that Stoke boss Tony Pulis is looking to add the duo to his squad before the close of the transfer window.

"We have made no enquiries for either player," Coates told The Sentinel.
