Stoke City chairman Peter Coates expects Asmir Begovic to stay this season.

The decision will see Stoke loan out Jack Butland for the new campaign.

Coates said: "Begovic will be our goalkeeper at the start of this season.

"And I would think we'd be definitely looking to get Jack Butland playing somewhere next season where he can improve his game."
