Stoke City chairman Peter Coates says manager Tony Pulis has final say on all transfers.

Coates says that while Pulis might have to rely on more eyes and ears than ever before, Stoke would continue to be run along traditional lines when it came to in-coming and out-going transfers.

"No player will come into the club or go out of the club without his approval," he told The Sentinel. "That is absolutely crystal clear.

"He may be one of the few managers to be in that privileged position, I don't know, but that is certainly the situation here."
