Stoke City chairman Peter Coates says they're delighted with this season's campaign.

The Potters enjoyed a first chance in Europe since their return to the top-flight.

Coates told The Sentinel: "It's been a great year, Europe has been fabulous for us.

"We are always trying to get better, but we must remember we are playing in the toughest league in the world and just to stay there is a great achievement."
