Stoke City chairman Peter Coates insists there's no need to panic after recent results.

Defeat at home to Birmingham on Monday made it three straight losses and no goals scored.

But Coates stressed: "We are only halfway through the season and we've got half the points we will need for safety.

"Of course we'd like a win, as anyone would, but if we're starting to panic now then there's something wrong with us."
