Stoke City chairman Peter Coates is happy that striker Peter Crouch avoided penalty for an alleged eye gouging incident on the weekend.
It emerged that the England international may have poked West Bromwich Albion defender Jonas Olsson in the eye during a tussle at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday but the Football Association decided to throw out a charge against the player which has delighted the Potters chief.
"Peter is a good character who plays the game in the right way. People within the game know that.
"Nobody involved made a fuss about it and that's always a good sign.""It is the correct decision," he told The Sentinel.
