Stoke City chairman Peter Coates is tightlipped on the future of manager Tony Pulis.

Coates stressed that this was not the time to make comment - and that nothing should be read into his silence on the subject.

"We have had a very flat second half to the season and nobody is trying to hide that," he stated to The Sentinel.

"You are always trying to learn from such things to try and improve."
