Stoke City chairman Peter Coates admits there's regret over Giannelli Imbula's failure at the Brit.

The midfielder signed for Toulouse on Friday.

Coates told BBC Radio Stoke: "It hasn't worked out for him, and there's disappointment all round.

"He's gone to France which might suit him and let's hope he rejuvenates his career and shows the huge talent we all know is there."
