Stoke City captain Ryan Shawcross isn't surprised Paul Scholes is again playing for Manchester United.

Shawcross returns to his boyhood club Manchester United tonight.

And Scholes, 37, playing again just seven months after calling it a day, will be snapping at his heels.

Shawcross said: "He's a legend isn't he? He was always going to get fed up of not playing.

"He's still got it and it doesn't surprise me. When the likes of Xavi say he's the best player they've faced that tells you how good he is."
