Stoke City skipper Ryan Shawcross is hopeful that the club will continue its development by spending in the summer to strengthen the squad.
The Potters currently have 47 points from 35 games and they may surpass their highest tally of 50 points, which they achieved last season, but Shawcross wants to improve even further.
Shawcross said: "It's been a good season but I am sure the gaffer will have some money to spend in the summer and we will improve the squad and be even better next season."
The Potters next play Tottenham at Britannia Stadium on Saturday.
