Wilfried Bony and £18.3m record signing Gianelli Imbula were at the centre of claims that they were not fitting in with the rest of the squad as Stoke flounder near the bottom, still waiting for their first win.
Shawcross said: "Wilf's come in and shown a brilliant attitude. He's part of the team and he's very enthusiastic.
“G (Imbula) is obviously disappointed he's not in the team but he's working hard to get back in.
"We've got a very good group of lads, a good team spirit and that's what will get us the points that we need to have a good season."
