Tony Pulis would be buoyed by the return to action of striker Mamady Sidibe who was back in action for the reserves on Monday.
The 31-year old Mali forward has been out with an Achilles injury since August 21 and was expected to miss the entire season.
But he has regained strength and fitness and was able to get on the pitch, scoring in the third minute as the Potters' second team got past Burton 2-1 at Stoke's Clayton Wood training ground.
It will be great news for Pulis who will soon be able to add the former Gillingham man to his attacking stocks.
