Stoke to bring in ex-Man City, QPR boss Hughes

Stoke City will appoint Mark Hughes as their new manager by the end of the week according to the Daily Mail.

The Potters parted ways with Tony Pulis last week after seven years at the helm at Britannia Stadium and will now replace him with fellow Welshman Hughes.

It is believed that the former Blackburn Rovers, Manchester City and Fulham boss, who was sacked by QPR in November, will be brought in by the Staffordshire club to work closely with technical director Mark Cartwright.

Other candidates for the Stoke job include Brighton & Hove Albion's Gus Poyet, Celtic's Neil Lennon and departing Chelsea interim boss Rafael Benitez who has since signed with Napoli.
