Stoke boss wants Huth to sign new contract

Stoke City manager Tony Pulis has urged key defender Robert Huth to sign a new deal with the club.

The 27-year old German centre-back has a year left on his current contract but Pulis wants to ensure he remains with the club for the foreseeable future.

"We are desperate to keep Robert at the club and hopefully we can reach an agreement with him soon," Pulis told the Daily Mirror.

"He's been an integral part of what we've done here and it's always important to look after the players."
