Stoke City boss Tony Pulis has welcomed back Robert Huth.

Huth has made good progress after suffering a bout of viral meningitis.

"It's a massive bonus that he has recovered so well because we were really concerned that it was the serious strain at one point," commented Pulis to the Stoke website.

"He's a bit weak at the moment, so it's too early to say when he will be back. We'll have to take it one step at a time, but he's a tough character and I know he won't want to miss out on the start of the season if that is at all possible."
