Stoke City boss Tony Pulis admits the Republic of Ireland's Euros progress may affect his preseason plans.

Stoke have Jon Walters and Glen Whelan in the Irish squad.

He said: "We'll assess what our lads have done in terms of playing time at the end of the tournament before having a word with them about pre-season.

"If Glenn is on the pitch every minute of every match, as he might well be, then that is something we'll have to look at with regards to pre-season."
