Stoke City boss Tony Pulis wants Peter Crouch through the door before he goes for Tottenham teammate Wilson Palacios.
The People says Pulis is keen to land the Spurs pair in an ambitious £20million raid and has now been offered Honduran midfielder Palacios on his own - as Spurs chief Harry Redknapp keeps Crouch until he lands a replacement.
But the Potters have declined the chance to land Palacios in a £10m swoop and, for the time being, Pulis is insisting he wants both players.
