Stoke City boss Tony Pulis has urged Newcastle United to embrace their return to Europe.
Pulis saw his Potters make the last 32 of the Europa League this season before losing out to Valencia.
The Welshman said: "If they get into the Champions League then it's a fantastic achievement for them.
"If they don't and it's the Europa League, they'll enjoy that as well because it's a fantastic tournament.
"We got to the last 32 and we loved it. The team that knocked us out are now in the semi-finals.
"For clubs like Newcastle, European football at St James' Park - I'm not using the other name - would be absolutely fantastic."
