Tony Pulis is confident that Stoke's five-year tenure in the top flight is not about to come to an end providing they accumulate six points from the final five games. This weekend they travel to Loftus Road to face fellow strugglers QPR.

"We're having a difficult run but our supporters have been brilliant - they've got behind the team," Pulis told Sky Sports News HD.

"The players look bright and we've got to keep them bright, positive and focussed. We've struggled in both boxes of late. We've given poor goals away and at the other end, we've not taken chances.

"Harry Redknapp has always been a fighter - he's a bit like Sir Alex, I can see him going on and on.

As to his squad's state of readiness, he added: "I'm still a little bit concerned about Matt Etherington, while one or two didn't train today due to niggles

"The only people will turn things around is us and we've got to stick together. The players have trained well - their attitude has been first class.

"It's going to be a tough game for us and we've got make sure everyone goes out there gives it a go.

I've been in this situation before and it's important I stay focussed and the players stay focussed. Reading and QPR will keep going.

"I've known Harry a long time and they will be firing. We've got five throws of the dice to get the six points that we need."
