Stoke City boss Tony Pulis is taking the Carling Cup seriously.
The Potters have drawn Derby County at home and Pulis said: "I'm delighted it's a home tie.
"We'll respect Derby - they were in the Premier League last season and have some good players. It's a cracking game to look forward to."
After defeat to Manchester United, Pulis told BBC Radio Stoke: "We have to wash this away as quick as we can.
"We lost at Man City and came back with a great win against Sunderland and that's what we need to do now."
