Stoke boss Pulis takes aim at his critics

Stoke City boss Tony Pulis has lashed out at his critics after beating the drop.

The Potters, regularly written off and blasted for their style of play, have clinched a sixth season in the top flight.

He said: "That's an unbelievable feat for a club like us - one that was going nowhere really.

"We were an average Championship club, let's not kid ourselves. When we lost against Bolton in our first Premier League game five years ago, some bookies were paying up on us getting relegated with a record low points total.

"So to achieve what we have done is fantastic, and now we could even end up with the highest finish we have ever had in the Premier League.

''This club is now established in the top flight and we have worked hard over the years to be looked upon as that."
