Stoke boss Pulis: Shawcross England hopes not my concern

Stoke City boss Tony Pulis isn't bothered about Ryan Shawcross' England future.

Shawcross, 24, was called up two years ago by Fabio Capello but didn't get a run out for a friendly with Egypt.

But Pulis said: "I know he would love to be selected. He's desperate to play for England but we can't affect that. I'm not concerned personally - we're quite happy with him, thanks.

"Ryan's a great player and a great lad as well. But what happens won't affect him one way or the other.

"If Roy Hodgson sees Ryan as being good enough for England, fine. If he doesn't, it makes no difference to me."
