Stoke City boss Tony Pulis is seeking a winger signing.
Pulis wants competition for Matthew Etherington and Jermaine Pennant.
"Again, we are hoping to bring in someone in that position, so if Matty or Jermaine are not on it, we've got somebody else," he said.
"We're trying desperately hard to convince players to come to Stoke City because I think, along with the whole of Stoke-on-Trent, that this club is pushing in the right direction.
"We've got 48 hours and we'll be working our socks off."
