Stoke boss Pulis running rule over Sorensen

Stoke City have handed trials to released Aston Villa goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen.

Sorensen, who is a free agent after seeing out his contract at Villa, is training with the Premier League new boys in a bid to win a move to the Britannia Stadium.

Stoke are in the market for a new goalkeeper having missed out to West Brom for the signing of Scott Carson and they have been strongly linked with a move for Sunderland's Marton Fulop.

However, Sorensen, who has been linked with Turkish giants Galatasaray and Middlesbrough this summer, could win a move to Stoke if he impresses Potters boss Tony Pulis.

"Two or three clubs have been interested in Thomas but he is with us at the minute," Pulis told Radio Stoke.
