Stoke City boss Tony Pulis admitted relief after victory over Everton.
Stoke's victory came after successive home defeats to Blackpool and Fulham.
Pulis said: "It's a big result for us after the last two home games.
"I don't think we played too badly in the last two home games but didn't get the results the performances deserved.
"It was important to win today.
"Everton are a good football team and you never take anything for granted in this league.
"It is a great result for us."
