Stoke City boss Tony Pulis will consider throwing teenage striker Ben Marshall into next season's first-team squad if he continues to impress during the summer.
The 19-year-old former Crewe trainee is enjoying a productive season-long loan spell at League One Carlisle.
Pulis told The Sentinel: "We've kept a close eye on him and he's done well at Carlisle.
"If he's near what we want for next season we will keep him. If not, we'll see if we can get him out on loan again."
