Stoke City boss Tony Pulis was happy with Rory Delap's influence in setting up Ryan Shawcross' winner against Middlesbrough on Saturday.

Of Delap's scud throw-ins, Pulis insisted: "I don't think there is anything wrong with it. It's a weapon we use and we are very proud of.

"It doesn't just happen - we work hard on our set-plays, it's part and parcel of the game and it's very pleasing, especially the time it came as well."
