Stoke City boss Tony Pulis says a move to Middlesbrough is the right option for Dave Kitson.

Middlesbrough have signed Kitson on a two-month loan.

The 29-year-old has netted just two goals in 25 Premier League games for the Potters since a £5.5million move from Reading - where he returned on loan last season - in the summer of 2008.

Pulis said: "Dave has spent a lot of time on the bench recently and this is a great opportunity for him to get matches under his belt."
