Stoke boss Pulis: Market will start to move

Stoke City boss Tony Pulis isn't panicking over their struggles in the summer market.

He told The Sentinel: "Being one of the smaller clubs - and that's no disrespect to us - but I think once the bigger clubs start moving then the market tends to follow and things move on with it.

"One or two of the bigger clubs now have spent money and it just filters along then and the market starts moving.

"You need the bigger clubs at times to get the ball rolling and as soon as that happens then you find people start becoming available."

The manager, who watched £5.5m record signing Dave Kitson score his first goal for the club in last night's 3-2 win at Southampton, said: "We have been very selective in what we are trying to get.

"You have seen with the three players we have brought in that they will be good signings for us. Kitson could have had a couple of goals in the first half and scored a very good goal."
