Stoke boss Pulis laughs off Tuncay Facebook sales pitch

Stoke City boss Tony Pulis has laughed off rumours Tuncay is using Facebook to tout himself to a new club.

It's been claimed Tuncay posted a video of his ten best goals on his Facebook account in order to sell himself to interested clubs.

Pulis told Sky Sports News: "I think he's selling himself to his manager, I think, I'm hoping so!

"Obviously Tunny's been a good player and he is a good player but as I've said before, I pick teams to win games and Tunny's played the last couple of games and done smashing.

"If he plays then we hope he does well and we hope he scores goals.

"But there's loads of things that goes in the equation picking a football team and, like I say, today you're dealing with people who sometimes their egos are far, far in excess of what the reality of the team and the group and the club that you're working with.

"We've always been a club that has worked on the basis that it is the group that's important and not the individual.

"And whether it's Eidur (Gudjohnsen), whether it's Tunny, whether it's Kenwyne Jones or Ricardo (Fuller), the group will always come first for me.

"But you have to deal with it and he's a great lad Tunny, same as Eidur, they are really, really good lads but they want to play every week and you can't blame them for that."
