Stoke boss Pulis to keep Begovic v Sorensen battle going

Stoke City manager Tony Pulis admits he will pitting Asmir Begovic against Thomas Sorensen in the race for the clubs number one goalkeeping spot.

The gloveman have so far shared the duties during the Potters' pre-season tour of the USA and Pulis has revealed that the pair will continue to compete right up until the Premier League opener at Reading on August 18.

"Nothing is certain and I'm certainly not going to make a decision right now," Pulis told The Sentinel.

"It's a situation I will make an assessment on nearer the time, which means there is plenty for them to play for in pre-season.

"We have good competition between the pair of them and you hope that brings the best out of both."
