Stoke City boss Tony Pulis is happy to hand winger Liam Lawrence a new contract.

"I'm not getting involved in his contract," insisted Pulis, "because I leave that to others upstairs.

"All I know is that he had a smashing end to the season and did so well that he forced his way back into international contention.

"He'll now be dreaming of the World Cup finals, knowing Liam, and the chance to get there with Ireland will have him stoked up for the new season.

"He's been with us almost from the start of this incredible journey of ours and his task now is to keep pace as we try and move things on again."
