Stoke City boss Tony Pulis refuses to consider selling Robert Huth this summer.
Negotiations have been on-going with the centre-half for the past three months and the Potters' chief is anxious to tie Huth to an extended contract.
Further talks are pencilled in for next week. Pulis said: "We are desperately keen to sort out Robert's future.
"We have been talking to him for some time but whatever happens, he won't be sold.
"I'm hopeful something will be sorted by the time we come back for pre-season training in July.
"He's obviously a player who is valued and the supporters have taken to him because of the way he approaches the game."
